MEET OUR TEAM

We know that you have many choices for affair recovery support. That is why each therapist at the Affair Recovery Therapy Center (ARTC) wants you to know that, most of all, we care about helping you.

HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT

Our team of therapists is unique in the following ways:

  • Our counselors are Affair Recovery specialists, not therapy generalists. Many of our clients are "refugees" from other therapists who listened carefully to their problems but left them uncertain of how to get on a healing path.

  • We offer real-world solutions that are designed to be practical so you can apply them in your daily life.

  • We have our well-established Affair Recovery Roadmap that guides you step-by-step from chaos to sanity.

  • We know you are suffering so we always keep your emotional support as a priority.

  • We go beyond psychoeducation, guiding you through experiential exercises that lead to lasting transformation.

  • We are trained in trauma support so your intense pain will be properly cared for.

  • We have ample real-life experience of our own that grounds our work with you.

VARIETY BRINGS STRENGTH

We believe our variety brings us strength and allows us to match you with the right therapist. In our group, we:

  • speak 7 languages (Czech, Cantonese, English, French, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish),

  • have 13 children, including 4 step children,

  • practice a wide range of spiritual practices (Catholic, Christian, Muslim, Taoism), and

  • are married, single, divorced, and remarried.

SURGERY VERSUS OUTPATIENT TREATMENT

The difference between surgery and outpatient treatment is similar to the difference between affair recovery and regular couples therapy. In surgery, the job is to stop the bleeding and make major changes to how the body is working to allow the healing process to take place.

Similarly, affair recovery work requires a decisive therapist who can give you clear guidance on making major changes so you can heal a major injury. Our therapists are trained to do just that for you.
